The invention relates to the field of leather finishing and, in particular, the manufacture of finished leather items, such as leather blanks for shoes, chrome leather products or other untreated leather products.
The aim of the invention is to improve quality and productivity.
The finishing of the leather, which is intended to impart a raw material, for example a roughly finished skin, coming from a cutting machine, of the required quality, for example softness, corresponding texture and aesthetic appearance, is usually carried out directly at the tannery. The finishing methods consist in precipitating the coarsely treated skin, first with an finishing composition of O14, intended to algae 3 fibers, then after drying the finishing composition to obtain the required texture (J and color, the third operation is final). carried out for QQ skin draining. At this stage, a high pressure hydraulic press with heat and metal texturing molds are used which are suitable for skin draining.

Such a transfer method increases the possibilities for the application and adaptation of leather in the manufacture of chrome leather products and footwear. However, this method requires the use of heat presses, which are expensive both in terms of the equipment itself and energy consumption, and they can create high pressures of at least 8-10 kg / cm2. In addition, the high temperatures generated on the metal plate of the heat press, often on the order of 160-180 ° C or higher, cause the coating adhering to the portable substrate, and above all to decompose and deteriorate this coating on the final product, since these Coatings usually consist of plastic materials and polymerised materials that are sensitive to heat.
In the method of transferring finishing compositions to the untreated skin on an intermediate substrate, the range of application of polymers is expanded in all areas where the skin is used.

It is important that the finishing and / or finishing compositions for the skin can be reactivated by heat and that they have dielectric losses for heat transfer when using high frequencies. This is noted especially when using known formulations based on plastics and / or artificial latex.
In order to carry out the method of the invention, high-frequency known devices can be used for forming and / or pressing.
By using a high frequency machine, these disadvantages of the method of heating and pressing in metal molds are eliminated. With the proposed method, the applied pressure is low (in practice 3-5 kg / cm2), the energy output is improved and, in addition, pressure and temperature are stabilized for transferring the finishing and finishing materials due to the fact that overheating of these materials creates dielectric losses, and not an outside calorie feed like a metal hot plate.
The advantages of the proposed method are also: significant Q flexibility and use for the manufacturer of footwear and chrome leather products, which can thus have a set of treated paper substrates and then only transfer the layers to the untreated leather according to a predetermined order; the ability to store a large amount of raw or separated skins and apply them when required to give them the desired uecid and textures; eliminating the difficulties associated with the direct finishing technique of untreated leather according to the method used in the leather industry, which often causes the materials to become too rigid due to the significant absorption of the finishing composition of the untreated leather; due to the use of the substrate, thin layers of the finishing and finishing compositions are evenly applied, which saves the consumption of such materials and also provides coatings of very limited thickness, for example, several tenths of millimeters, thus forming microporous coatings that allow the skin to breathe which is not possible with the usual way of finishing the skin; the possibility of deposition of tol to a portable coating on certain parts of the untreated leather element by simply cutting out the paper backing, when this is required.
According to the method, the operation of transferring the coating layers and the finishing composition on the intermediate substrate is carried out on a high-frequency molding or pressing machine, on which, in addition, the final phase of the surface training can be carried out.
The intermediate substrate may be any material that is suitable for providing insulation for high frequency and for receiving, by uniformly distributing sufficiently adhesive layers, a finishing agent and a thermoplastic finishing composition. A material that is particularly suitable for this may be paper treated with silicone, known in other applications.
Finishing and finishing materials can be selected from materials or material combinations that are known for traditional leather processing, for example from the group of acrylic resins, oligomeric rubber, vinyl polymers, polyurethanes, and the like.
